Club Meeting

Nov.12^th,2002

The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Shawn Upton KB1CKT

Officers present were President Shawn Upton KB1CKT,Secretary,Don Curtis N1ZIH

The program was on 10Ghz. By Dale Clement AF1T, Al Bardwell NS10 and Lee Scott AA1YN.

After a 10 minute break elections were held.

The new officers are;

President Shawn Upton KB1CKT

Vice President Al Bardwell NS10

Secretary Kristi Upton

Treasurer John Moore KB1CSI

After the elections,we concluded the 10 gig demonstration.

We discussed the upcoming Christmas party. The location will be the Cat-N-Fiddle Ken Wilkins,K1MID will make the reservations. A yankee gift swap will follow dinner.

We discussed the work at the CVRC repeater site. A new antenna was installed, but there are still some issues and more work has to be done. The output PL is still off.

The next business meeting will be at Lee Scott’s home on Nov.28^th.

The December business meeting will be on December 17^th at Lee’s home as well.

We discussed Bob Sanborn W1BDC. Scott Clay has been in communication with his social worker at the soldiers home and has been up to see him there. He is not spending much time on the radio, but has spent a lot of time playing piano. Don Curtis was up to see him a few weeks ago and he expressed a desire to attend meetings. We talked about getting him to the next field day so he could work some 6 meter.

Dale,AF1T mentioned the upcoming 100^th anniversary of Marconi’s transatlantic transmission. There will be a recreation of that event.

The meeting was adjourned at 10:00 pm
