Club Meeting

 Oct. 8th,2002

                                    The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Shawn Upton KB1CKT

 

Officers present were President Shawn Upton KB1CKT,Secretary,Don Curtis N1ZIH

 

After introductions, we held a brief discussion on CVRC hamfest.

 

The location for our monthly business meeting will be the Concord chapter of the American Red Cross.

 

The program was on weak signal VHF-UHF operating presented by Chip Taylor W1AIM.

 

After a short break, nominations for 2003 were held.

 

Congratulations to Mickey Bergh for passing her tech exam at Hosstraders.

 

Dale nominated Kristi for treasurer. Jerry Blanchard nominated Shawn Upton for president.John Moore volunteered to run for secretary. Al Bardwell will run for vice president. Dave Connor will be contacted to see if he wants to run for treasurer.

 

A discussion was held on how to make funds more easily available for circulation of newsletters and postcards.

 

Al Higgins,KB1DXV has returned home to 70 No. Spring street in Concord. We talked about Bob Sanborn W1BDC. Don N1ZIH will be making a trip up to see how he is doing.

 

Tom, N1SKZ held a discussion on the upcoming SET drill.

 

A donation of $50.00 will be made in memory of Donald Rollins.

 

We held a brief discussion on purchasing another tent for use at club events.

 

Classes were discussed. Topics included how to format them, who will teach it and using the Gordon West materials as opposed to ARRL materials.

 

Refreshments will be provided by Don Curtis drinks and Mickey Bergh will bring the food.

 

The meeting was adjourned at 9:30 pm.
