Club Meeting

 July 9th,2002

                                    The meeting was called to order at 7:15p.m. by Shawn Upton KB1CKT

 

Officers present were President Shawn Upton KB1CKT,Vice President Larry Damour,N1PHV,Secretary,Don Curtis N1ZIH

 

Larry,N1PHV gave a presentation on the upcoming military vehicle rally

Dale,AF1T gave a brief presentation on the upcoming fire tower preservation events.

A brief discussion followed on the upcoming cookout and foxhunt

at AA1YN’S residence and the status of summertime business meetings.

Three people showed up for the June business meeting and it was the consensus of opinion that the closeness of field day wiping people out was the reason for the low attendance.

 

Our outing in August will be the aforementioned cookout and foxhunt at Lee Scott’s residence and will be in place of our regular meeting.

 

Upcoming programs were discussed. An article will be in the newsletter about these.

 

The library will be unavailable in September.

 

Lee,AA1YN made a motion, seconded by NS10 to appropriate money for the August barbecue.

 

Tentative location for the august business meeting is the Concord ARC.

 

Sept. refreshments will be provided by Don N1ZIH drink and Ken K1MID food.

 

The national night out against crime was discussed re; setting up a display. The date is August 6th at 5:00 pm.

 

The mailings are going well,except for a problem with the dates for dues paid until. Any discrepancies should be sent to Don N1ZIH.

 

Dave Connor could not make the meeting, but Don reported a balance of $2600.00 on the books.

 

A motion was made and passed to give a cash donation equal to last years to Pat’s Peak and to present the owner of the field day field with a gift cerificate.
