June 2004 regular meeting minutes

Officers present were President John Moore N1FOJ, VP Dale Clement AF1T, Secretary Don Curtis N1ZIH, and Treasurer Scott Clay N1ZGO

1.After a round of introductions, an excellent field day extravaganza program was presented by Mark Pride K1RX

2.Treasurer’s report presented by Scott Clay N1ZGO.

We have a balance of $2055.00. $20.00 was taken in in dues. $175.00 was deposited.

$283.00 was in the repeater fund. Expenses for the improvements were $240.00.

The report was accepted as read.

3. Secretary’s report presented by Don Curtis N1ZIH.

May’s minutes are available on the CVRC website. A question was asked regarding the repeater fund. On top of the balance mentioned in the treasurer’s report $200.00 was moved from the general fund to the repeater fund. The report was accepted as read.

4.Lindsay, K1JY reported on the work done on the club repeater. The new repeater is in place and working superbly. There were a couple of minor problems, which were remedied. The phone line will be done away with which will save the club approximately $25.00 per month.

5. Field day. Band captains have been selected. Micki, K1MKI finalized the plans for the meals. She will be buying the food. $230.00 has been collected. Lee made a motion that passed to add $170.00 from the general fund to the meals fund. Scott issued a check to Micki. Scott paid $130.00 for the portable toilet and an application for one toilet was sent by Dale AF1T. Scout Troop participation is needed.

6. Business meeting. Will be held at Lee Scott’s house on June 22^nd at 7:00 pm.

7. Club picnic. A motion was made and passed to hold the outing at Lee Scott’s home on July 10^th.

8. We are looking for program ideas for the August meeting. Anyone with ideas should contact Dale AF1T. One idea was a club history from some of the original members.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:20 pm.
