May 10th, 2005 regular meeting minutes

Officers present were President John Moore N1FOJ, VP Dale Clement AF1T,Secretary Don Curtis N1ZIH, Treasurer Scott Clay N1ZGO

1. After a round of introductions, We welcomed two new members, Craig Cote KB1MGA and Steven Cote KB1MFZ. They tested at the CVRC hamfest and received their tickets a short time later. Congrats to both of them.

2. Micki Bergh presented a video on the 2004 Field Day.

3. John N1FOJ reviewed the list of band captains for this year’s field day and explained the different field day classes. He also reviewed the results of last year’s field day.

4. Secretary’s report; There was no report due to last month’s meeting being canceled, however I did report on the sale of club assets at Hosstraders. Three Ten-Tec kits and one short wave receiver were sold. The proceeds and a statement were turned over to the treasurer.

5. Dale AF1T reported on the field day food. There will be a lobster bake. The cost for the meals will be $27.00 for those who want the lobster and $20.00 for those who don’t. These prices are for the whole weekend’s meals

6. The treasurer presented his report. After our hamfest, he reported a balance of $1937.70. The report was accepted as read

7. Donald Curtis got a phone call from John Moore KB1CSI informing us that the Concord Red Cross DAT team was not interested in providing kitchen services for field day. Micki ran down what the meals will be.

8. Anyone who wishes to contribute articles for the Key please contact Lee Scott AA1YN. Articles are needed before the business meeting.

9. In July we will be hosting a regular meeting and a club picnic. In August we will be rescheduling the visit to the Marconi museum.

10. There will be a VHF contest in the second week of June

11. The business meeting will be held at Dale and Micki’s on May 24^th at 7:00 pm.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:30 pm.
