regular meeting minutes
Officers
present were President John Moore N1FOJ,VP Dale Clement AF1T,Secretary Don
Curtis N1ZIH, Treasurer Scott Clay N1ZGO
1.
After a round of
introductions, a Program on MARS [Military Affiliated Radio Service] was
presented by Al Bardwell, NS1O and Jerry Blanchard, K1BBQ.
2.
John, N1FOJ reported on the
QSO party approximately 400 contacts were made. Anyone wishing to contribute
points can contact Dale AF11T.
3.
Hamfest update; Lee Scott
AA1YN reported that two guest speakers and the NH ARES communications van have
been confirmed. The PA system is available. The flyer will be emailed to past
participants and vendors. Al Bardwell is still in need of VE assistance. Scott
Feinberg KB1LCV was interested in raising money for an Eagle Scout project in
Derry. He wanted to sell food and radio gear and exhibit his project to collect
funds. It was decided to let him do everything he wanted except for the food sales.
A motion was passed to issue Dale a check for $200.00 to purchase door prizes
and raffle items to include a Yaesu VX-150 HT.
4.
Insurance; John received an
email from Lindsay K1JY suggesting we downgrade our insurance coverage. Scott
Clay N1ZGO will be contacting the insurance company to see if we can spend less
money on the coverage.
5.
A motion was passed to
increase the amount to $55.85 for teaching materials for the upcoming ham
class.
6.
Outgoing QSL’s; contact John
N1FOJ with cards and mailing labels.
7.

8.
The March meeting will be on
Tuesday, March 8th at the new Concord American Red Cross chapter
house located at 2 Maitland street opposite the Trailways bus garage.
Directions are from I-89 go directly to the end of 89 turn left on South Main street
[Rte 3A] It will be on your left side approx. 1 mile from 89. From 93 either
direction take exit 12 north and follow the same directions up S. Main street.
9.
Food for the next meeting
will be provided by Ken Wilkins and drinks by Al Bardwell
10. The business
meeting will take place at Lee Scott’s residence on February 22nd at
7:00 pm.
The
meeting was adjourned at 9:30 pm.
