II. Hamfest

-President, Vice President, and Secretary signed the necessary papers for reserving the rooms.

-What is the deal with the fees for the Emcomm Course?  Don said that there was a $10 test fee or you can take the test for free online for the course he is taking now.  Have we already taken this into consideration with our fee?

-Al spoke with Jason who said he would be able to find an ht around $80 for the raffle.

-Lee talked with Pete at HRO who said that they’d be able to donate a 2003 ARRL Handbook.

III. Future Meetings

Dale proposed having a 5-10 minute technical talk each meeting.  It was voted on a couple of years ago, but was never carried through.

Reviewed the tentative schedule proposed in the November business meeting.  Will list through September in the next newsletter.  Fleshed out details on some upcoming meetings.

February 11th- QSL Cards and DX discussion by N1FOJ.  Due to health issues, N1FOJ may not be able to speak for all or any of the time so there will also be Show and Tell and stories.  Shawn will be bringing his Yagi antenna and Lee will call John to make sure he can still talk.

March 11th- Cable and Connector Clinic- Bring you cables, connectors, and soldering irons because this will be a hands-on program!  Dale will give a brief talk on cables and connectors; Lee will bring PL-259, Type N, and BNC connectors that he will be selling at cost.  If you know you need a specific number and kind of connectors, please let Lee know so he can make sure you get them.

April 8th-  Field Trip to the Marconi Museum in Bedford, NH- We will be meeting at Shorty’s on Rt 101 in Bedford at 5:30 for those who wish to have dinner first.  Otherwise, meet at the museum at 7pm (please contribute a $2 per person donation- they are also looking for donations of old radio equipment or components).  Directions will be posted on the web and in the newsletter.  Check out http://www.marconiusa.org for more information.

May 13th- Rick Littlefield from Cushcraft will be speaking.  He can also talk about cables and connectors.  Dale will invite him.

October 14th- Maybe ask Pete from HRO to come up and show us the latest in gear.
