April 27,2004 business meeting minutes

 

Members present; Jerry Blanchard, K1BBQ, Dale Clement, AF1T, Ken Wilkins, K1MID, Scott Clay, N1ZGO, John Moore, N1FOJ, Micki Bergh, K1MKI,

Jim McElroy, NS1E, Lee Scott, AA1YN, Don Curtis, N1ZIH, Steve Jones, N1JHJ, Al Bardwell, NS10.

 

  1. Scott Clay reported the net profit from the flea market was $954.66

 

  1. A thank you list for the flea market was discussed. Don Curtis was given a list of people and agencies to thank and will be sending out letters.

 

  1. A $50.00 dollar donation was approved for the Henniker School.

 

  1. Field Day; committee chair Jerry Blanchard Ran down the field day functions and the list of band captains was established and their responsibilities

            discussed. Jerry will also be contacting the Concord Red Cross re; mess hall duties. We also discussed ways to increase participation.

             Further discussion will take place at the May regular meeting.

 

  1.  Hosstraders; We talked about getting the club table set up and selling items at the table.

 

  1. Special events; Steve Ingham turned over special event responsibilities to Bill Shurbert ,CAARES EC. However Bill has relocated and is unable to fulfill those duties. Don Curtis has taken over special events for the time being. On Sunday, March 28th WalkAmerica took place in Hillsboro. Due partly to the short notice we received and the above mentioned changes, we were unable to get enough volunteers recruited. Thanks to Rich Browning K1RAB who enlisted other ARES volunteers from the area the event was covered.
