Meeting called to order at 7:54 pm.
1.section manager’s letter to QST. Lee sent an
email to Al Shuman and Tom Frenaye.
He received a two page reply.
A discussion followed on the use of dues and format of QST magazine and contest
results.
2. We had a short discussion on the QSL bureau. It
was suggested that John N1FOJ write an article for the KEY and do a program at
one of our meetings.
3. Shawn KB1CKT will be sending a letter to
ARRL presenting CVRC’s vote in
opposition to cutting contest results and SM EC reports from QST.
4.hamfest.
Shawn sent out a letter to Jock re; use of school.
Contact Dexter Howe re; testing
Discussion on continuing raffle.
No conflict with other hamfests
Date set for Mar.17th.
Talk-in was discussed will be provided by CAARES
Talk with Barry at HRO re;Door prizes and
donations.
Discussion on volunteers for food and clean-up
5. QSO party
It will take place as scheduled. An ad was placed
in QST. Al Marin gave a brief talk on the QSO party.
1st weekend in February. Times Friday 7
pm to Sunday 7 pm local time.
Postcard will be sent out.
6. Repeater.
Transmitter replaced in the spring.
Discussion on repeater upgrades and backup
repeater.
6.Programs
Check with Larry Damour on March program.
Lee Scott suggested PSK-31
